وقال مصدر في مديرية أمن طرابلس لوكالة فرانس برس إن "الاشتباكات وقعت بين عناصر كتيبة (الرحبة دروع)، وعناصر كتيبة (الشهيدة صبرية)، بعد مناوشات وخلاف تطور إلى تبادل إطلاق النار واستخدام أسلحة متوسطة".
